Grown-up Corner
Helping Kids Name Their Feelings
A cozy space just for you parents, caregivers, and kind grown-up hearts. Here you’ll discover the story behind Lumae-ly™, thoughtful ideas to share her world with your little ones, and gentle ways to spark connection, calm, and joy together.
telling a story
Children don’t always have the words for what they feel, but their faces, voices, and bodies are always telling a story.
This playful mood board is a gentle way to begin that conversation.
Here’s how you can join in
- Watch first. Let your child explore and guess the emotions on their own.
- Wonder together. Ask things like, “What makes you think she feels that way?” “Have you ever felt like that too?”
- Offer feeling words. If your child is unsure, try giving options: “Does it look more like sleepy... or maybe shy?”
- Celebrate every answer. There’s no wrong emotion. Naming feelings builds confidence and emotional strength.
Kids often share more when they don’t feel tested - just noticed, heard, and supported.
Why this matters
More mood boards are waiting
You’ll find more emotion-matching games in the Game Corner, each one opens a new little window into your child’s inner world .
Lumae-ly™ is a small, fluffy friend from a gentle, magical world.
She was born from light and emotion, a quiet sparkle that appeared when someone needed to feel seen and safe.
She has a special gift
Lumae-ly™ feels emotions deeply,
and her glowing Tenderlights reflect hose feelings through soft, beautiful colors.
Each of her seven Tenderlights glows with a different emotion.
blue for calm, turquoise for joy, peach for gentle sadness, and more.
Her eyes shine like sapphires,
and her soft glow helps children (and adults) feel warm, accepted, and not so alone.
She doesn’t speak in words, she listens, understands, and glows with quiet connection.
Lumae-ly™ helps children
notice and name what they’re feeling
even when they don’t have the words yet.
She’s like a best friend for everyone,
especially the quiet ones, the thoughtful ones,
the ones who feel a lot but don’t always say it out loud.
